Visiting the farm…

What to know when you purchase tickets and before you visit

Can I stop by to visit?

Churchview is a learning farm and an event space, but is also a private residence. Whether you would like to stop by to visit the farm, see what the space is like, or you’re just curious where we are located, we’re happy to show you by appointment only. The farm is where we teach, learn, host, and live (it’s busy, and also our home) so we aren’t able to accept drop-in visitors. Please email us to schedule a time to stop by and we’d love to show you our space.

Is there parking available?

We offer off-street parking directly across from the driveway entrance on Churchview Ave. When you arrive just look for the parking attendant who will guide you to a spot.

Please note: Entering Churchview Farm requires walking up a gravel driveway. If you have mobility issues or need special accommodations please email emeran@churchviewfarmpgh.com a few days before the event. Also please remember that it is a farm… We’re all about style too, but please be smart with your footwear.

Do you offer refunds on event tickets?

We are not able to offer refunds or transfers of any kind for any event. However, we do have an extensive waitlist for each event and will gladly connect you with someone who is interested in purchasing your tickets.

The event I wanted to attend sold out! What should I do?

We are sorry to hear you weren’t able to get tickets, but don’t fret! We have waiting lists for individual events that you can sign up for on each of our event series pages.

Do you offer pre-sale or coupon codes on events?

We do not offer any presale or coupon codes for our events. All available tickets listed online for each event are released at the same day and time. Any codes you may see advertised for discount or presale are not coming from us and will not be honored.

I have a dietary restriction, can I still attend one of your farm events?

We are able to accommodate some dietary restrictions for our Farm Dinners and they are noted in the listings. All restrictions must be approved via email prior to the event. Happy Hours and Pop-Up events are not suitable for accommodating restrictions, but there is always a vegetarian option available.

Are your events family friendly?

The vast majority of our farm events are 21+. The only current exception to this is our Peach Jam benefit event.

Can I host an event at the farm?

Our summer schedule fills up quickly, but there are opportunities to host private events on the farm. For more information and pricing, email events@churchviewfarmpgh.com

I want to work/volunteer on the farm! How can I participate?

Churchview hosts a dynamic and vibrant group of volunteers and CSA workshares during the growing season! If you would like more information regarding specifics and availability, email tara@churchviewfarmpgh.com

Can I feed the animals?

The Churchview goats always appreciate an alfalfa treat, and we make those available for our guests to give them near the barnyard gate. But please no off-farm treats for any CVF beast, or treats of any kind for our sweet farm dog, Fran. She has dietary restrictions and we don’t want her to get a belly ache.

What’s the toilet situation?

We have a beautiful composting toilet outdoor bathroom available for our guests to use. Are you unfamiliar with composting toilets? Do you have terrifying visions of a rusty bucket and heap of sawdust? Trust us, you have nothing to fear. Guests often tell us that the composting toilet bathroom is one of the cutest parts of the farm. (Maybe you just have to see it to believe it.) We also offer an additional porta potty for all large events.
